Thank you for all that you have done for the Flash community. I've learned a ton from your Flash to PHP tutorials. I came into the Flash world at Flash MX but remember finding your books useful when we were loading variables into movieclips and doing loadFlashVars().

Thanks again for all that you have contributed and I look forward to hearing about your adventures on your new path.

Yep, your work certainly looms large in my development as a professional flash developer. Like the comment above, I just don't know where I'd be without it. Thanks for all the hard work, and good luck in the future.

Now for something completely different: I'm digging WAY deep in the memory banks here, so I may be off on this one, but if I recall you're a Dark Tower fan, right? You know that HBO is doing a mini-series? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0964507/

Hey Steve,

Just wanted to say that you were the person that got me into programming both PHP and Flash. Without "PHP for Flash" I'm not sure what I'd be doing today to be honest.

Good luck with your future stuff and I'm sure you'll do a kick ass job at that as well. For what it's worth, I feel your pains on the CSS/HTML front (seems like that's all I do these days, I don't remember that last time I was in Flash, which sucks because that's what I love to do) ;)

Make sure you post here when statichtml.com goes live!

Cheers,

Scott
