All the PHP stuff in the book is still relevant, but it was written when Flash 5 was around and so the Flash side is pretty much out of date. It is being rewritten (not by me - not enough time) but apparently it won't be available for at least 6 months or so. If you're up to speed with PHP and just want to know how to integrate it with Flash, then you should be able to learn what you need from the web. Take a look at <a href="http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/mx/flash/php.html">this</a> list of articles in the Macromedia Flash Developer Centre for more information.
